Boston was my home for twenty years including the decade of the Big Dig Project.  The Zakim Bridge emerged not only as the iconic signature of that project but of Boston itself. Completed in 2003 it spans the Charles River and is the widest stay-cable bridge in the world. Lenny Zakim was a Jewish-American anti-poverty leader in Boston – a “bridge-builder” for harmony between the races. He died young from cancer in 1999
