I have returned time and time again to this stretch of the Snoqualmie River. I’ve seen it through years of changing seasons; witnessed the rising and falling of the water level numerous times. This impression is at a time of low water after cycles of freezing and thawing; a moment with the foreground to the background in varied stages of  “frozenness”. This is a single image using a photographic reversal technique that allows me to flip extreme tones – blacks to whites and whites to blacks.
