This collection of images were discovered while exploring native land along the Snoqualmie River. The name Snoqualmie is important in the Native American creation myth narrative – moon the transformer.  The Snoqualmie people are known as the people of the moon; the Snoqualmie Valley is the Valley of the Moon. A special photograph technique called solarization has been employed for several images in this collection.  The effect was discovered 150 years ago and has been used by photographers and artists, notably the famous French Impressionist, Edgar Degas. Prepare to be transformed in the Valley of the Moon.
